What are the advantages of a frameless shower enclosure?Frameless shower enclosures have become increasingly popular for modern bathrooms, and they offer several advantages. Here are five key benefits: 1. Aesthetic Appeal Frameless shower enclosures provide a sleek and modern appearance. The absence of bulky frames and hardware creates a clean and open feel in the bathroom, contributing to a more contemporary and aesthetically pleasing design. 2. Spacious Feel Without the visual obstruction of frames, frameless enclosures give the illusion of more space in the bathroom. This is especially beneficial in smaller bathrooms where a frameless design can make the area feel larger and more open. 3. Ease of Cleaning Frameless shower enclosures are generally easier to clean than framed alternatives. The lack of metal frames reduces the places where dirt and soap scum can accumulate. This not only saves time on cleaning but also helps to maintain a hygienic and pristine appearance. 4. Customization Frameless shower enclosures can be custom-made to fit specific spaces and design preferences. This flexibility allows for a personalized and tailored look, accommodating various shower configurations and ensuring a seamless integration with the overall bathroom design. 5. Long-Term Durability Frameless shower enclosures are often made from thick tempered glass, which is durable and resistant to breakage. Additionally, the absence of metal framing means there are fewer components that can degrade over time, contributing to the long-term durability of the enclosure. While frameless shower enclosures offer these advantages, it's essential to consider factors such as installation requirements and budget constraints to ensure they align with your preferences and needs.

Are frameless shower doors expensive?Frameless shower doors are not a cheap product, however, they are a great way to enhance the appearance of a bathroom without the expense of a remodel. Typically the price is based on a combination of size, hardware, and labor.

What are the differences between a frameless, semi-frameless, and a framed shower enclosure?Frameless Shower Enclosure: A frameless shower enclosure is designed without the traditional metal framing. Instead, thick tempered glass panels are directly attached to the wall, creating a sleek and modern look. Frameless enclosures are known for their elegance, easy maintenance, and the illusion of a more open space. They are a popular choice for contemporary bathroom designs. Semi-Frameless Shower Enclosure: As the name suggests, a semi-frameless shower enclosure combines elements of both framed and frameless designs. Typically, a semi-frameless enclosure features minimal framing around the perimeter but may have a framed door for added stability. This option provides a compromise between the affordability of a framed enclosure and the aesthetic appeal of a frameless one. Framed Shower Enclosure: In contrast, a framed shower enclosure is characterized by the presence of metal framing around the entire structure, including the door and panels. This framing provides structural support and stability. Framed enclosures are often more budget-friendly and can offer a variety of design options. Key Differences: Aesthetics: Framed enclosures have a more traditional appearance with visible metal framing, while frameless options offer a sleek, seamless look. Semi-frameless designs strike a balance between the two styles. Cost: Framed enclosures are generally more budget-friendly due to the use of metal framing, whereas frameless options tend to be more expensive due to the use of thicker glass and minimal hardware. Semi-frameless enclosures fall in between in terms of cost. Installation: The installation process for framed enclosures is often simpler and quicker, while frameless installations may require more precision due to the absence of a frame. Semi-frameless installations typically fall in between in terms of complexity. Cleaning and Maintenance: Frameless enclosures are often favored for ease of cleaning, as they have fewer nooks and crannies where dirt and soap scum can accumulate. Framed enclosures may require more effort in cleaning due to the presence of metal framing. Choosing the right shower enclosure depends on your budget, design preferences, and maintenance considerations. Each option has its own unique appeal, and understanding these differences can help you make an informed decision for your bathroom.

Do you repair showers? We are not able to repair framed shower doors. There are too many manufacturers and pieces involved for us to be able to resolve issues at a fair price. We would be happy to quote you for a new, frameless shower enclosure if you would like. We can occasionally repair a frameless shower door, particularly if it requires a minor adjustment to the door or hinges or other minor repair work like silicone. We cannot however, repair leaks or guarantee that we could resolve a leak especially on a shower door that is not our own because we do not know the origin of the leak or the history of the shower.
-
How long do frameless shower enclosures usually last?A frameless shower door can last more than 20 years!
-
Can you install a shower enclosure that I purchased elsewhere? (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc;)We are not able to install materials that are not our own. We cannot be proficient in installing every online offering, guarantee the quality of the system, or be held liable for damages to your materials. For these reasons, we are unable to install enclosures that are not purchased from us.
-
How thick will the glass be?On most of our enclosures, 3/8" glass will be used. In certain situations, we may need to use 1/2" glass. A common instance for using 1/2" glass is when a door is hinged off of another panel.
-
How long does the installation process take? For a typical door + panel, most installations are finished within two hours.
-
Will you remove an existing shower enclosure?Yes! We will remove your old shower door, clean up any excess silicone, and dispose of your old enclosure. We cannot be held liable for any unforeseen circumstances that may be uncovered as a result of removing your shower. Examples include cracked or broken tiles, tiles coming off of the wall or curb, stains from the previous framing, etc. Patching any holes from a previous install is to be handled by the customer. There are too many tile/grout types, and we recommend hiring a tile specialist for the best result.
-
How thick are your mirrors? Our mirrors are typically 1/4". We have a ton of 1/8" mirror for various applications as well, though.
-
How are mirrors typically installed? There are several options to hang mirrors, with the most common being glued to the wall with mastic. Sometimes we'll use clips, depending on the application.
-
Can you remove mirrors?Yes! Our technicians are trained to safely remove mirrors. If your goal is to "save" the mirror, we can not guarantee that it will come down in one piece or be eligible for reuse. In this case, we would have to sell another mirror to you.

Do you sell antique mirrors?Absolutely! Stop by to check out a few samples, or click the button below for even more options.

Do you offer frames for mirrors? We do not. We recommend using Frames On Main for this service. Typically, we install the mirror in your space & they add a frame afterwards.
-
Do you have a showroom? We sure do! LC Glass of Eatonton: 104 Lakeview Estates Dr, Eatonton, Ga. Right behind the Goodwill on HWY 44. LC Glass of Watkinsville: 1071 Jamestown Boulevard, Suite 507, Watkinsville, Ga.

What are your lead times? They can always vary, but typically we run about 2-3 weeks from the time you submit your 50% deposit to the time we install your shower enclosure.
-
What areas do you service?Primarily the areas surrounding Lake Oconee. We recently launched LC Glass of Watkinsville, Ga; Allowing us to serve the Athens area.
-
What does you warranty include? We provide a one-year limited warranty covering both materials and labor. While warranty calls are infrequent, our typical request involves a routine adjustment for doors. This adjustment is often needed immediately after installation, as hinge gaskets may compress, or seasonally in older homes as they settle or shift. Occasionally, we receive calls shortly after installation regarding minor gaps in silicone, and we are more than happy to address and repair these. It's important to note that, over the lifetime of the shower, we are unable to offer ongoing cleaning and silicone reapplication services. Routine shower maintenance, including the reapplication of silicone, is necessary every 3-5 years, depending on the type of tile used (whether it's a man-made product or natural stone).
-
Do you offer financing or other payment plans? We do not currently offer financing or payment plans. However, if this is something you need to discuss, we can work with you to accommodate your needs.
